Richard was born in Stratford, Ontario in 1954, and moved to London as a teenager. Soon after graduating from The University of Western Ontario, he began his career as a professional photographer, concentrating on corporate and commercial photography. He also enjoys photographing landscapes, and his work has been published in eleven coffee table books.
Published books include; WESTERN (foreword by Kevin Newman), LONDON (foreword by Bill Brady), IMAGES OF LONDON (foreword by Peter Desbarats), IMAGES OF WATERLOO COUNTY (foreword by Peter Gzowski), NIAGARA (foreword by Donald Zaraldo) and STRATFORD (text by Christopher Plummer).
Corporate brochures, catalogues, advertisements as well as marketing and promotional programs feature Richard's photography, some of which has been used to service markets worldwide and the associated text has subsequently been translated into numerous languages, promoting corporations to the far east and Europe.
